You can begin with a complimentary trial during special promos or introductory events, or pay a small fee for a private lesson. From there, you can customize through packages priced between $50 and $810, or monthly options from $300 to $1000+.

That said, program costs can be on the higher end, and their rescheduling or cancellation rules are fairly strict.

Alpha Midway Dance Studio has been a go-to spot for Latin dance in the city. The vibe here is warm and homey, and the energy in every session is contagious. 

Instructors like Sal, Orlando, and Mariana make learning salsa, bachata, and cumbia both fun and approachable. Whether you’re just starting out or trying to sharpen your moves, they’ve got a class that fits your level and schedule. 

The sessions typically cost $15-$25, with packages and programs available for regular attendees. For adults with busy lifestyles, evening classes provide a convenient option, while kids can join tailored programs that include performance teams. 

The studio itself is impressive too, with seven mirrored, climate-controlled rooms, which also serve as rental spaces for rehearsals or creative projects.

Although the emphasis is on younger participants, some activities invite parents to join, creating shared experiences that build confidence.

The program reflects this inclusive philosophy, from Tots & Tutus (16-30 months), featuring bubbles, props, and playful games, to Ballet/Tap Combos for preschoolers and Inclusive Classes for kids with unique abilities. 

The rates are clear: toddler sessions cost $15-$25, ballet/tap runs $20-$30, and a $40 yearly family membership applies. You can also enjoy up to five complimentary makeup workshops per year. 

While the studio shines for little learners, options for older children or adults are limited.

Apex Dance & Performing Arts is a nonprofit studio guided by Christian values. It’s led by Donna, a seasoned educator with more than 25 years of experience, whose passion shines through in every class. 

Whether it’s your toddler’s first dance adventure or your own, Apex welcomes all ages. The program features a mix of styles, from hip hop and jazz to contemporary and acrobatic. 

If you’re new, a free trial course is a great way to experience the atmosphere and see if it’s a good fit. 

We also noticed that their offerings are reasonably priced—group sessions run $15 to $40, while choreography and private lessons start at $60. 

Just keep in mind, though, that Apex is closed Friday through Sunday, which can make scheduling a bit tricky. Online booking is limited as well, so it’s best to call the studio directly to reserve your spot. 

We don’t see ourselves ever leaving this studio!
