Quotes are given over the phone, which we didn’t particularly like as we’d prefer to have a written record of it. However, luckily for us, the cost of our transaction didn’t stray too far from what they gave us on the phone. 

We felt a little apprehensive about the price since many of our survey participants complained about the discrepancies between the company’s quotes and actual prices.

All that said, Cody & Sons Plumbing, Heating & Air isn’t the cheapest company to work with. A simple inspection visit can cost you anywhere between $100 to $250, depending on how long it takes to diagnose the issue. 

Luckily, the company does offer a guarantee for services. In other words, clients can call in anytime, in case an issue happens after a technician’s visit. 

Most companies offer 24/7 services or at least operate during normal hours during weekends. 

While Cody & Sons does offer weekend services, it’s only limited to Saturdays. If you face an issue on a Sunday, you’ll need to call another plumber to come over and help. 

Our first impression of Metro Flow Plumbing’s staff was that they were empathetic, kind, and extremely helpful. 

They knew exactly what to say to comfort a frustrated and nervous customer. Furthermore, they were quite keen to give us the right solutions for our plumbing issues. 

Having been in the industry for more than 30 years, it’s no wonder why this company is so efficient and quick with its services. 

Unfortunately – like most plumbing companies – their services can be a little pricey. In fact, a simple visit can cost around $200. 

Luckily, they offer frequent discounts and deals that could help lower client costs for certain transactions. 

Besides discounts and deals, there’s one other program that we heard they offered that could help lower customer costs by A LOT. 

This program is called “The Diamond Club” and it entitles members to free services, discounted repairs, priority services, and annual inspections for a low price of $9.95/month. 

Seeing as how repairs can go up to $1300, this is a great deal for most customers. 

If you want to connect with Metro Flow, we highly suggest you do it over email. Due to their popularity and demand, their landline is often flooding with callers. 

Thus, it might be harder for Metro Flow staff to entertain your inquiries and requests. 

This next company is one that’s been around since the 1970s, which explains their expertise and savvy in everything plumbing related. 

Mr. Rooter Plumbing of Dallas is one of the best plumbers you can find in the city. They have a wide array of services that range from residential to commercial plumbing. 

They also have a “Neighborly Done Right Promise” which ensures high-quality services to their clients. Otherwise, you’re entitled to free repairs and equipment. 

This “Done Right Promise” can last anywhere between 30 days to a year, depending on the type of service you receive. 

We appreciate that they detailed this specific feature on their website very carefully. Most companies we’ve talked to only hint at it in their emails or calls. 

With Mr. Rooter, you have a written record of their “Done Right Promise,” so you can invoke their services whenever you need them. 

Sadly, this company doesn’t offer the cheapest prices. 

Their service fee is slightly better than the other providers, at $90 per visit. However, services like repiping, drain cleaning, and hydro-jetting are entirely different stories. 

These services can end up costing you anywhere between $1000 to $1500. Unless you get yourself their “Advantage Plan.” 

Advantage Plan members get to enjoy a plethora of benefits from Mr. Rooter, from priority scheduling to preferential pricing. You can also transfer your membership in case you decide to sell your house in the near future. 

If plumbing companies had a grandfather, it would be Baker Brothers Plumbing, Air & Electric. 

They’ve been in the industry for almost a CENTURY – longer than most companies in the field. Plus, they offer a wide array of services that range from drain cleaning to electrical services. 

Talking to their staff on the phone was a complete treat. They were kind and helpful in arranging an appointment for us the next day. 

We also appreciate how upfront they were about their prices – which weren’t cheap, as expected from a renowned company. Luckily, they have several programs in place that help customers make payments and get the services they need. 

Baker Brothers Plumbing, Air & Electric offers a 10-year financing plan that allows customers to pay for services in increments over the years. 

If you don’t have the resources to pay for services today, you may take this payment option to get the services you need and avoid aggravating the situation further. 

Besides that, Baker Brothers Plumbing also offers a “Family Plan” program that entitles members to free services, discounts, and many other benefits. 

This program costs around $9 a month – a great steal if you’re concerned about your home’s or business’ plumbing.

Since the company is only open from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm from Monday to Sunday, getting services after operating hours can be impossible for ordinary customers. 

With the family plan, however, you can also enjoy after-hours services for free or at a discounted fee.
