- Equipped with modern orthodontic technology
- Caters to both children and adults
- Passionate and takes pride in his work
Cons
- Does not service incognito braces
- Only open 4 days a week
Deepak Gupta of Gupta Orthodontics has a doctorate degree in Dental Medicine and is a board-certified specialist in orthodontics.
There’s more than one approach to orthodontics, and we are glad to see that Dr. Gupta is experienced in a number of them.
Adult orthodontics and teen orthodontics are some of them. We think him being able to cater to patients of all ages is a show of versatility in the profession.
Surgical orthodontics is also one of his treatment options for more serious cases. But rather than working on such cases by himself, he collaborates with an oral and maxillofacial surgeon.
Though it’s good that he has professional connections, he didn’t really mention exactly who the surgeons would be. In this case, it’s best to inquire about that more should you need surgery.
Dr. Gupta’s clinic is well sterilized as any clinic should be. It’s also good to see him use a lot of modern orthodontic equipment and procedures such as iTero and Invisalign.
This signifies that he is well-updated in the field of Orthodontics. He would not sacrifice client safety and satisfaction over cheaper but obsolete practices.
Still, this doesn’t mean that Dr. Gupta has thrown everything traditional out the window. Some traditional but safe options are still retained for other clients’ unique cases and preferences.
One specific thing that he doesn’t really do anymore though, is doing incognito (lingual) braces.
The majority of his cases find a high success rate with Invisalign instead, so this clinic is not really the best option if you still have incognito braces on you.
One more downside is that it’s closed from Friday to Sunday. It might be harder to find time for an appointment if you’re a busy bee throughout the weekdays.

Pros
- Setting up appointments is smooth and efficient
- Accepts various insurance plans
- Caters to both children and adults
- One of the top 1% of Invisalign providers
Cons
- Has some instances of bad bracket and wire installations
Joshika Kanabar of Walnut Central Orthodontics is an orthodontist and dentofacial orthopedics practitioner in Dallas.
Having completed over 2000 cases with Invisalign, you can be sure that she is well-versed in the modernization of today’s practice of orthodontics.
With that, she has also been included in the top 1% of Invisalign providers in the country.
Running an orthodontic clinic for children and adults, Dr. Kanabar is yet another orthodontist able to dedicate her expertise to oral healthcare for all ages.
What we also like about her services is that she honors a lot of insurance plans. Some of these include the likes of Cigna, Metlife, and Guardian.
Though it’s great that there are a lot of insurance plans accepted by her clinic, they may be subject to change at any time. We recommend verifying this with Dr. Kanabar herself to ensure your plan can be accepted.
According to those that we’ve talked to, you will also not have much trouble setting up appointments with her. This is good to hear considering she has a decent number of active clients.
One specific thing that she’s seemingly struggled with in the past is bracket and wire installations. Some complaint of brackets breaking off easily, while others’ wires keep slipping off.
It’s best to keep this in mind whenever you want to have your braces adjusted, especially if they’re the traditional ones.

Pros
- Over 38 years of experience in the field of medicine
- Office environment is well-kept
- Continues to improve his education to this day
- Runs 2 offices in the Plano area
Cons
- Waiting times can be long
- Appointment slots may be limited on some days
James Jensen of Jensen Smiles holds a doctorate degree in dental surgery and has over 38 years’ worth of experience practicing in the medical field.
What we find impressive about him is that he’s still continuing his education up to this day. He attends over 60 hours’ worth of courses and seminars each year.
He has also recently finished 70 hours of Invisalign fellowship, so we can definitely be confident that he is up to date with modern orthodontics.
We think it’s a big green flag for any orthodontist when they put in the constant effort to further advance their knowledge about the everchanging field of science and technology.
Dr. Jensen loves community involvement, which is a good thing for every client that he has the pleasure to serve.
This is also evident in how well-kept his office is. Also, the overall atmosphere he and his staff portray can make you feel more like a close friend than simply another client.
With him having 38 years of experience, it’s no surprise that he makes a ton of connections through his clients.
One downside to having a lot of clients though is that you’re sometimes going to have to wait a little bit longer in line.
We think this is a minor setback as, thankfully, he has two offices in the Plano area. Although, we can’t guarantee that you’ll meet Dr. Jensen himself every single time in one of those two offices.
But from what we’ve heard, you can expect the same quality of service regardless of which office you visit.
Just be sure to contact them early, as some days of the week are by appointment only.
They’re only open for half a day on Fridays, and their Saturday schedule depends on how early you booked a slot.
4. Mark Geller (Geller Orthodontics)
Services: Invisalign and Clear Aligners, Common Orthodontic Issues, Surgical Orthodontics, TMJ-TMD, Two-Phase Treatment, Tads, Diode Laser Treatment, Propel Orthodontics, Acceledent Aura, iTero Element, Philips Zoom.

Pros
- Has been in orthodontic practice for over 40 years
- Equipped with modern orthodontic technology
- American Board of Orthodontics diplomate
- Recommended by other good orthodontists in the DFW area
Cons
- Only open 4 days a week
Mark Geller of Geller Orthodontics has over 40 years of experience in orthodontics. He was also a former Department of Orthodontics professor at Baylor College of Dentistry for 25 years.
Right off the bat, Dr. Geller already has an impressive show of experience under his belt.
Being a diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics further solidifies his resume as well. You just don’t easily become part of it unless you uphold its top-notch standards in orthodontics.
Apart from the other numerous professional memberships that he already has, he still continues to participate in numerous courses and seminars to further advance his craft.
We think this is yet the mark of another orthodontist who loves engaging in the pursuit of knowledge for the betterment of his service to his clients.
In line with this, he, of course, equips his clinic with state-of-the-art orthodontic technology to keep up with the times. That’s always a plus in our book.
If you’ve been in good service for decades, you’ll gather a considerable amount of respect even from your fellow colleagues.
This is evident in Dr. Geller’s case as even fellow DFW orthodontists (and dentists) recommend him. You just know that he’s tried and tested over the years.
While his track record is great and all, it could’ve been better if his office opened more than 4 days a week.
Although there’s not much that clients complain about when setting up appointments with them, you’d probably have to resort to going there as early as 7:30 AM if you work the usual 9 to 5 shift.

Pros
- Magna cum laude graduate of Brigham Young University
- Has 3 offices in Frisco, Little Elm, and Prosper
- Provides access to orthodontic emergency information
- Family appointments are considered as a single appointment
Cons
- Closed during weekends
Jared Corbridge of Corbridge Orthodontics is an orthodontics practitioner in Frisco, Little Elm, and Prosper. He’s also an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists.
Like the other entries on this list, Dr. Corbridge is another orthodontist that is continuing his education through multiple seminars and courses.
He considers himself a “lifetime learner”, so we’re assured that he will be keeping up with the times for as long as he is in service.
Being a magna cum laude graduate of Brigham Young University, he definitely seems to have a history of excelling in academics.
As we mentioned earlier, he practices in 3 Dallas locations. So naturally, he operates 3 offices in those locations.
It’s quite a unique (but ever so welcome) selling point to have multiple branches in a single area. It does make sense considering Dallas is such a big metropolis with many suburbs.
It seems that Dr. Corbridge really thought this through and wants to give the entirety of Dallas the best smiles they can have.
It’s also quite nice that bringing the whole family to him for dental services is considered a single appointment. This is a great way to save you time and money.
Not only that, but he even gives access to emergency orthodontic information on his website. To us, that seems like he is definitely a good embodiment of “sharing is caring”.
Though we do wonder if this also means that his clinic would become available even during his off-days in case of emergency. In this case, it would be the whole weekend.
Luckily, they do give the opportunity to be contacted during emergencies and they do respond to your inquiries fairly quickly.
