A coworker noticed that I always seem to be thoroughly relaxed and cheerful every Monday, despite the fact that—well, it’s Monday. I told him that it’s because I end most weekends with a blissful, hour-long massage at a spa near me.

He recently started doing that too, so now, there are at least two cheerful employees at our office every Monday.

Massages are not just the act of one person rubbing your whole body—it’s a whole experience. Imagine dim lighting, soft music, and the soothing smell of essential oils.

So, for those who want to experience the ultimate massage once in a while, regularly, or semi-regularly—here are the best massage therapy clinics in Dallas.

Trained Touch Muscle Therapy focuses on outcome-based muscle therapy designed to get real results. That’s why they only hire Medical Massage Practitioners—those specially trained in muscle mechanics and serious pain relief.

They created the Trained Touch Method (T3M), which uses advanced muscle therapy techniques to help with chronic muscle pain. This is ideal for injury recovery and sports performance.

Another specialty is medical massage, to help with a specific problem area. A bonus is that this type of massage therapy includes a diagnosis and treatment plan.

Familiar treatments like deep tissue, sports, and trigger point therapy are available too.

Sadly, some clients have said that the pressure of their massages is on the lighter side. If you prefer a deep, intense touch, we recommend stating your preference beforehand.

Pros

  • Specializes in outcome-based muscle therapy
    Only hires Medical Massage Practitioners
    Created the Trained Touch Method
Medical massage includes a diagnosis and plan

Cons

Massage Felax and Spa opened in 2010 with a pretty straightforward goal—to leave you feeling euphoric, rested, and ready to tackle life.

You’ll start by changing into a robe and maybe even enjoy complimentary snacks and beverages in their lounge before (or after) your massage.

This spa is known for their Classic Swedish massage, which delivers a calming, light to medium pressure to ease everyday stress.

But if you’re looking to splurge (and why not? You totally deserve it!), then book their Felax Signature Combo. It’s a luxurious treatment that combines reflexology or a Vichy shower with a full-body massage.

Our favorite here is their Couples/Duet Treatment Rooms—so much fun to use with your partner or bestie.

That said, not everything’s peachy here. We heard about less-than-soothing massages, which left clients actually feeling stiffer afterwards—a big no-no.

Pros

  • Over 15 years of experience
  • Free snacks and beverages
  • Classic Swedish massage
  • Felax Signature Combo
  • Has Couples/Duet Treatment Rooms

Cons

  • Massages that are not totally soothing

One of the best places I’ve been to in a while

“Wow! One of the best places I’ve been to in a while. From the phone call in setting my appointment, to the checkout process, very smooth! Michelle was the friendly person at the desk that greeted me. Hospitality was 10 of 10! Wendy, was an outstanding masseuse! Just knew my tension points and knew how much pressure to put. She’s small but can handle it. The ambiance in the whole facility was very relaxing so thy was great. Overall worth the price and another visit.” — Renato, Google Review

And honestly, what a sanctuary it is, with white marble walls and floors, and modern furniture in soft blues, greys, and gold. Their treatment rooms also deliver, with plush spa linens and soft lighting.

Prenatal massage is offered here—note that not all spas offer this. It’s designed to ease common pregnancy discomforts like lower back pain, leg cramps, and sciatica.

Another unique (and super popular) service is their wellness massage. This treatment boosts circulation, eases anxiety, and promotes overall well-being.

Check out their online seasonal promos, where you can score up to $40 off select services. However, we did hear that some clients were still charged the full amount even with these promos—make sure to confirm details in advance prior to booking.

Most comprehensive massage I’ve ever had

“Nikki was fabulous! The most comprehensive massage I’ve ever had. Front staff was very polite and proactive in meeting any needs. Well worth your money and time to experience this gem.” — pianodan93, Google Review

10/10 experience from start to finish

“10/10 experience from start to finish. The booking process was kind and courteous. The communication was thorough. Best of all, the massage was absolutely wonderful. I had a prenatal massage and it was the most attentive prenatal I have ever had and I am on my third pregnancy. My therapist, Kai, listened to where I wanted more attention and followed through. I have had the experience in the past that some masseuses are a little hesitant to fully work on a pregnant woman, but he was clearly knowledgeable on what spots are okay to be worked on and I didn’t feel like a place on my body was skipped for being pregnant. Thank you, Kai, and the staff at The Nook Spa for a great ending to a friend’s bachelorette party.” — Ashley Blackwell, Google Review

True to its name, Riviera Spa has a chic, French Riviera feel in both of their locations: Hillcrest Village and Uptown Knox Travis. You can even enjoy a mimosa or wine in between your treatment sessions.

We recommend their Signature Wellness Massage. It’s a customizable service, giving therapists the freedom to use a mix of aromatherapy, deep tissue techniques, heating pads, ice packs, and more.

Himalayan Salt Stone Massage is another highlight, which uses—you guessed it—heated pink Himalayan salt stones containing minerals to help soothe your body.

Now, if you have a whole day (and big bucks) to spare, go for their 3.5-hour Just Breathe package. This includes a 110-minute Signature Wellness Massage and a 50-minute Eminence Organic Facial.

As for massage treatment prices, we noticed they can be on the high end—but we feel like they’re totally worth it!

  • Complimentary beverages
  • Has a Signature Wellness Massage
  • Himalayan Salt Stone Massage
  • Just Breathe package
