5 Best HVAC Companies in Dallas

5 Best HVAC Companies in Dallas

How We Picked

Price – Many contractors love to upsell, so we chose the ones that didn’t. We put preference toward those that gave free inspections, charged fairly, and gave cost estimates.
Services Offered – The more services that are offered, the more flexible the contractor is. We put preference to those with a large selection but at fair prices.
Service Quality – This determines how customer-friendly the technicians are. We checked if they help make you more knowledgeable, how responsive they are to customer demands, and the quality of their repairs.
Labor Warranty – Labor warranties ensure that your repairs are worth the money you paid for. These give you security in case a repair fails earlier than intended.
Reputation – We checked for consistency in their customers’ experiences. The more consistent a business is, the more you can trust it with your home and your money.
Licensing and Permits – Being a licensed contractor and having the proper permits add to the trustworthiness of the business. Licensed contractors are insured, meaning any damages they cause to your property will be paid for.

    Pros

    • 24/7 service with free consultations
    • Offers equipment and labor warranties
    • Offers service agreements for regular maintenance
    • Professional and dedicated employees
    • Financing options

    Cons

    • Does not service buildings and condominiums
    • Can overprice services
    • Charges after hours fees

Texas AirZone LLC has been around since 1997 and has a pretty good reputation among homeowners. It is easily reachable and offers free diagnoses before charging you a single cent.

Its technicians are very professional and dedicated to their craft. They even give you free advice to help you learn more about your system!

Many HVAC contractors out there love to upsell, sometimes even intentionally butchering the job to convince you to spend more.

Customers’ experiences with Texas AirZone LLC were different, with it offering fair cost estimates and warranties just in case of any botched jobs.

Its services are available 24/7. The technicians typically get to your home within 1-2 hours, but they do charge extra if you call after 6:00 PM.

Sadly, there is no perfect contractor. There were a few instances where Texas AirZone LLC’s technicians gave overpriced cost estimates.

Some customers we talked to said that the technicians suggested unnecessary upgrades to inflate the bill. There were also reports that the equipment would suddenly stop working only after the technicians arrived, raising suspicions.

These cases are just a handful among hundreds of positive customer experiences. Regardless, remember to always get a second opinion especially when there are other contractors also offering free consultations.

Texas AirZone LLC doesn’t service buildings and condominium units. If you don’t live in a residential area, then it’s best to keep looking.

    • Offers equipment and labor warranties
    • Wide service area
    • Fast and cost-effective

    Cons

    • Can be unresponsive to service requests
    • Does not service on weekends

Sala Air Conditioning is a family-owned business operating since 1972, making it the most experienced contractor serving both residential and commercial clients on our list.

The best part about this contractor is the fact that it treats your budget as if it is its own. Its technicians even give free repairs (sometimes) during inspections for issues deemed too minor to charge for.

Whether you want new equipment or just want to keep your old ones running for a few more years, its technicians help you decide what’s best so you save more money.

Sala Air Conditioning’s Comfort Club lets you subscribe for $16.50 a month for a cleaning package, priority service, and a 10% discount on services.

It offers warranties so you don’t have to worry about botched jobs or bad repairs that fail after a few years. While it isn’t open on weekends, you can still set appointments for the nearest weekday.

We do feel that you should know some clients told us that it can be more unresponsive than other HVAC contractors, though, so you may have to call it a couple of times just to set an appointment.

This can be a big con, especially during harsh seasons.

We think that if you’re on a budget, want quality repairs, and aren’t in a rush, then Sala Air Conditioning could be the one for you.

    Pros

    • 10% off for new customers, senior citizens, pregnant women, and US Armed Forces personnel
    • Offers service agreements for regular maintenance
    • Financing options

    Cons

    • Technicians can be unsanitary

Cozy-D Heating & A/C is another family-owned business, operating since 1997. It has decades of experience with servicing commercial and residential clients.

Its services aren’t the cheapest, but it’s reasonably priced. Its service fees start at $79 if you decide to avail of its Club Membership.

The technicians gladly run you through your HVAC system so you can troubleshoot on your own before hiring a contractor. Some customers also had the owner himself perform their repairs.

Newbies, pregnant women, senior citizens, and military personnel enjoy discounts on their first services, giving them less to worry about if they want to switch to Cozy-D Heating & A/C.

Like the other contractors on our list, it also refrains from upselling. It encourages its customers to wait out their equipment to avoid unnecessary replacements.

Service agreements and financing options for new equipment are available for its customers. These agreements help you save money on maintenance and replacements through a cheap subscription at just $14.99/month.

Cozy-D’s financing options cover all its services, including plumbing and general home maintenance.

Unfortunately, some customers we’ve spoken to had experiences where the technicians would leave trash such as replaced filters laying around after they left.

On the plus side, it services both commercial and residential areas, making it a proper choice if you live in a condo or apartment.

    • Wide service area
    • Honest inspections
    • Financing options

    Cons

    • Does not service buildings and condominium units
    • Does not service on weekends

Classic Air AC & Heating is family-owned and has been in business for more than 20 years. It’s another one of Dallas’ more experienced contractors, although only for residential customers.

It has quite a reputation, and this seems to be coming from its honest technicians. Its cost estimates are almost always lower than its competitors, sometimes by hundreds of dollars.

Along with lower prices are constant updates from the technicians to ensure that there are no further complications with your system.

Its customer service is top-notch. We spoke with one of its customers and found that they received free service because the technicians had to reschedule their appointment.

Classic Air AC & Heating offers coupons and discounts on its website for equipment and labor. It also gives you financing options with interest rates lower than most banks.

Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem to service customers in commercial areas, so keep searching if you live in a building.

We’d like to add that while it’s cheaper than most, it still isn’t exactly the cheapest contractor in Dallas, even with the coupons.

Tune-ups for your system can cost $129, and that’s the discounted price!

If you live in a residential area and want honest service, then Classic Air AC & Heating could be for you.

    Pros

    • Fast service
    • Offers vouchers
    • Services residential and commercial areas

    Cons

    • Overpriced
    • No free consultations
    • Unresponsive

Unlimited Air Conditioning and Heating has been operating since 2006, making it the youngest contractor on our list.

When appointments are set, its technicians often arrive on time and work efficiently. However, it is ranked the lowest on our list since its quality of service is very inconsistent.

Customers informed us of missed appointments, horrible markups, and unresponsive customer service.

When it comes to customer complaints, the owners don’t seem to provide many resolutions, leading to quite a number of unsatisfied customers.

In many instances, the technicians charged hundreds of dollars for small repairs that would have cost much less than other contractors. They also charged for consultations, including a transportation fee.

Scheduling appointments can be a hassle, with its technicians either missing the set time or doing a fraction of the job and then leaving.

On the plus side, there are far more customers who informed us of Unlimited Air’s fair prices and quality service, which are much better compared to Dallas’ other contractors.

Unlimited Air Conditioning and Heating services in residential and commercial areas. It also provides vouchers to help repeat customers save more money.

Despite its inconsistencies, it still has a better reputation compared to other HVAC contractors in Dallas. Its technicians are all NATE certified, so you can be sure that they know what they’re doing.
