5 Best Vegan Brunch Spots in Dallas That Even Meat Lovers Will Enjoy!
I told my friends I was going vegan, and they immediately assumed I’d be surviving on kale and quinoa for the rest of my life. One buddy even offered me his lawnmower, saying I’d need it for all the grass I’d be eating.
At first, I kind of believed them. I mean, how exciting could veggie food really be?
But then I stumbled upon Dallas’s brunch scene, and my first bite of those fluffy, plant-based pancakes had me questioning all my life choices—like, why did I ever doubt this?
Turns out our city is serving up some serious culinary magic, y’all. These brunch spots? Total game changers, no mower required!
And before you know it, even your bacon-loving cousin will be asking, “Is this really vegan?”

Must-order: Birria Beef Tacos Plate (GF)
Price range: $$ – average
Casa Del Vegano is truly a revolutionary spot for plant-based Tex-Mex.
They take all the classic flavors—think tacos, burritos, enchiladas—but give them this amazing twist. I mean, their tacos are on another level.
You can’t go wrong with the Birria Beef Tacos Plate. You can choose from their vegan “beef” options: Beyond Beef, portobello mushrooms, or jackfruit.
And that jackfruit is so well-seasoned it’ll make you double-check if it’s actually meat!
It also comes with a consomé which is like the cherry on top! It’s a rich, flavorful broth typically served alongside birria for dipping, and in Casa Del Vegano’s version, it’s made with veggie ingredients that pack a savory punch.
Plus, the black beans and rice on the side make it a full-on feast.

Must-order: Harvest Bowl
Price range: $$ – average
The Henry in Dallas is not strictly vegan, but they’ve got plenty of dishes that can easily be tweaked for plant-based preferences. You won’t miss out—they’re flavorful.
One dish you should try is their Harvest Bowl. It’s loaded with all the good stuff—melted sweet potato, ancient grains, caramelized cauliflower, and more delicious veggies like snap peas and grilled artichokes.
There’s even a marcona almond pesto and cashew harissa that really kicks it up a notch. It’s one of those meals that feels hearty but super fresh at the same time.
If you’re leaning towards a lighter breakfast, the Banana + Berry Acai is a solid choice. It’s a bowl packed with acai, coconut milk, pineapple, banana, a berry blend, and healthy add-ins like chia, flax, and plant protein.

Must-order: Pipian Mushroom Tacos
Price range: $$ – average
UnaVida is a lively Mexican diner known for its flavorful vegan menu that’s winning over even non-vegans. Their tacos, burritos, and enchiladas are all crafted with vegetable-only ingredients, and the flavors are anything but bland.
A must-try dish is the Pipian Mushroom Tacos, featuring marinated cremini mushrooms on fresh masa tortillas with pipian verde, a crispy red cabbage slaw, fried shallots, and just enough manchego cheese to tie it all together.
Their Taco Bowl is another standout, combining cilantro rice, refried lentils, and fresh veggies like romaine and shredded cabbage with creamy toppings such as queso crema, cashew cream, and crunchy tostadas.
And of course, it wouldn’t be complete without their roasted red and green salsas to bring it all home. It’s like a fiesta in a bowl!

Must-order: Vegan Breakfast Hash
Price range: $$ – average
Honey Berry Pancakes and Cafe has a bunch of vegan dishes, and the menu’s clearly labeled, so no need to guess what’s vegan-friendly.
One of my go-to’s here is the Vegan Breakfast Hash. It’s got a Beyond Burger patty, hash browns, wild mushrooms, onions, tomatoes, and avocado—all the good stuff. And they serve it up with fresh fruit, which is a nice touch.
But if you’re in the mood for something handheld, try their Vegan Breakfast Sandwich. It’s made with marinated tofu, avocado, tomato, and a vegan dipping sauce on a vegan bun—too simple, but super satisfying!

Must-order: Ancient Grain Bowl
Price range: $$ – average
True Food Kitchen’s menu changes with the seasons, so you’re always getting fresh, local ingredients—makes you feel like you’re doing something good for yourself.
And it’s not just for vegans. If you’ve got gluten issues or any allergies, they’ve got you covered too.
The Ancient Grain Bowl is my personal favorite. It has miso sesame-glazed sweet potatoes, avocado, and a mix of roasted veggies like onions, peas, and mushrooms all on a bed of organic grains, with pistachio pesto and hemp seeds sprinkled on top.
And if you’re craving something more burger-y but still plant-based, the Double Cheeseburger is a must. It’s a house-made vegan patty layered with zesty pickled onions, tomatoes, vegan cheese, and a little kick from the jalapeño remoulade.
It’s messy in the best way possible!
