Pros

  • Led by a highly-certified senior pilates instructor
  • Very personalized pilates options for every client’s level
  • Lots of modern pilates equipment to use
  • Also offers pain management via the Rossiter System

Cons

  • Introductory and single private sessions are a bit pricier compared to other places

You don’t just simply go to any typical pilates studio. You go to “the” Pilates Studio of Dallas that offers very personalized classes guided by one of the top pilates instructors around.

If you want nothing but the best, then there are few places that come close to this studio’s expertise in pilates.

Its owner, Kylene Law, is a senior certified pilates instructor with almost 2 decades of experience under her belt.

With that much experience, it’s completely understandable to assume that she must have a ton of knowledge about how to utilize your body in pilates as safely as possible.

Having instructed so many classes over the years, she has received consistently positive feedback that makes her a tried-and-true instructor.

If you prefer a one-to-one session that’ll really solidify your form from the get-go, then she does an excellent job in all of her private instruction options.

But if you do like to have another person tag along with you, then her duet instruction sessions ensure that both you and your partner receive equal amounts of attention.

We think this is the good thing about having a smaller group class. Having a more personalized approach works wonders for your performance and even safety.

You also get to use a lot of modern pilates equipment without having to scurry over to get some before other people do.

What we like about her studio’s services is that it also offers pain management via the Rossiter System.

Not only does the system efficiently remove or manage chronic pain, but it’s an essentially good stretching technique before you do any other physical activity.

Pilates Studio of Dallas provides excellent access to pilates services, but it does cost a bit more, even for the introductory and single private sessions.

We would have loved to see cheaper and more “a la carte” options for those that are still unsure if they’re able to commit but would still like to try anyway.

Pros

  • Very knowledgeable about proper form to avoid injury
  • Has flexible pilates options even for busy people
  • Generally competitive pricing across all of its options
  • Also provides informative weekend workshops

Cons

  • Has a strict late attendance policy that doesn’t permit entry
  • Adamant in adjusting its air conditioning regardless of the weather

Kiva Pilates is one of the best well-rounded studios that you can find in the Dallas area, and there are several reasons that make this so.

To start off, pilates is already a series of exercises that can naturally help you perform better in a lot of physical activities.

And Kiva is one of the best places that demonstrate this application thanks to its instructors’ vast knowledge.

Some of these nuggets of knowledge include the proper form and range of motion that are the most optimal for each person’s body.

Not only does this show great attention to detail on Kiva’s part, but it also paves the way for better mind and body connection whenever you’re on the go.

Approaches like these help a lot whether you’re a tennis player, a cyclist, or virtually any athlete that wants to up their game.

But even if you’re a busy bee, the studio’s flexible pilates options make sure that you’re still conveniently making time for a workout within your week.

If you’d like to learn about pilates in a more academic sense, then we think its weekend workshops are definitely worth attending too.

We’ve also found that it’s generally competitive in pricing across all of its pilates options, which could also be another good reason to commit for some people.

Just a fair bit of warning, though. When you’re even a few minutes’ worth of commitment too late to any of its classes, then that’s already considered a no-show for this studio.

Not only will you be denied entry, but you’ll also get charged an additional fee.

One more inconvenience that you might experience is that the staff is quite adamant about adjusting the air conditioning regardless of the weather for some reason.

It could be a few degrees over 100 outside, but the number on that thermostat is staying put no matter what, according to them.

Pros

  • Highly experienced instructors with versatility in guiding any client
  • Uses an in-depth approach to all of its pilates options
  • Also offers a real pilates teacher training program
  • Very personable and supportive staff members

Cons

  • Pilates packages are a bit confusing to keep track of

If you would like one of the most in-depth pilates experiences you could possibly have in Dallas, then get yourself to Pilates Methodology’s studio.

Here, there are no shortcuts or easy ways out when you want the most optimal results for yourself.

Whatever you see in the studio’s name is what you’re going to get, and that would be a lot of pilates methodologies to choose from that could work perfectly for your fitness goals.

Its highly experienced instructors all make this approach to pilates possible, so you can be assured that you’re receiving only the best and safest instructions.

With their experience also comes versatility, which is essential for working with and properly guiding any client regardless of their level.

To make this even better, every single one of them is very personable and supportive, which makes the intense sessions all the more enjoyable.

Because Pilates Methodology is an in-depth studio, after all, any kind of class you take is like working out your mind and body at the same time.

With all of the information that you’re generally getting from the studio, it’s no surprise that it also offers a real pilates teacher training program.

This is quite a special opportunity for those looking to work towards being a full-fledged pilates trainer themselves.

But there’s still such a thing as too much information, especially with how it presents its numerous packages.

There are about 14 different pilates packages, several of which seem unnecessarily specific and hard to wrap your head around the first few times.

We recommend just treating the list as a rough guide and inquiring with the studio itself about which package might be best for your preferences.

Pros

  • Highly motivating instructors trained in unique pilates workouts
  • One of the best pilates studios for beginners
  • All schedules are conveniently displayed in detail
  • Offers first class sessions for free

Cons

  • Occasionally unable to answer phone calls right away
  • Lacked transparency regarding changes in cancellation policy
  • Personal and credit card details are required for price list access

Bodybar Pilates welcomes everyone that walks through its doors with a pilates experience that’s both challenging and highly engaging.

But before you do walk through the studio’s doors, it’s also important to know that it requires appointments to be set every time. So make sure that you book yours before anything else.

When you first start off at Bodybar Pilates, your very first class session is actually free of charge.

This is a great way to gauge your fitness levels before committing further, and we wish more pilates studios would follow suit.

But we think its highly motivating instructors will surely have you coming back for more lessons after.

As one of the best in the pilates business, Bodybar’s instructors are highly trained to perform and teach unique pilates workouts to anyone.

When we say anyone, that includes even the most inexperienced people that may have never properly worked out in their life. This makes the studio one of the best in town when it comes to catering to beginners.

So feel free to drag your friends along and possibly convert and enlighten them to the appreciation of proper pilates.

You should have no trouble checking the availability of sessions, as the studio conveniently displays all weekly schedules on its website in detail.

But we have noticed that its customer service occasionally does not pick up the phone.

We also recommend keeping a close eye on its cancellation policy, as it sometimes doesn’t inform customers of sudden changes.

Finally, its decision to not publicly display its fees may sound a bit “not upfront” for some (including us).

This is especially considering that you would need to register your personal and credit card details first before having any sort of access to its price list.

From what we’ve heard from others that have already committed, though, you can still expect a generally reasonable price range for its pilates sessions.

Pros

  • Has a lot of professional and motivating instructors
  • More simplified approach to pilates packages
  • Also offers online pilates sessions
  • Considerably cheap rates per session

Cons

  • Slightly lacks more specific and dedicated pilates classes
  • May not be the most challenging choice for experienced people

Session Pilates proves that you don’t need to be familiar with every fancy pilates workout to get good results. The studio incorporates a more simplified approach to all of its pilates packages.

While it does make use of typical equipment such as reformers and mats, it manages to effectively combine these in a single session.

In a sense, it does bring other benefits to the table whenever you opt for a more simplified approach to any workout routine.

It can be a lot more streamlined and easier to follow, which makes Session Pilates a beginner-friendly studio too.

Even if it doesn’t have any classes that are specific and dedicated to one type of pilates, this doesn’t mean that it fails to address individual differences.

This is especially true for its Session @ Home option, which is a great way to keep your blood pumping even if you can’t make it to the studio.

With options like this, clients can get a more personalized approach whether they’re prenatal or postnatal moms, or even if they recently had an injury.

Personalized sessions like this are easily accomplished thanks to the studio’s rather big team of professional and motivating instructors.

What’s also great about Session Pilates’ services is that it has one of the cheapest rates per session around. This makes it an opportunity that’s financially easier to commit to.

We’ve found that some people may even find it a pilates studio that’s also physically easier to commit to. In that case, this may not be the most challenging choice for those that have already been in the game for a while now.

If you’re not one of those people, then you’re definitely breaking a sweat, at least.
