We like that they don’t do a one-size-fits-all program—they tailor a plan based on your specific needs. They also cater to a wide range of people, from young adults and couples to athletes and professionals.

Their drug and alcohol programs incorporate evidence-based methods, which basically means they use stuff that’s proven to work. 

And unlike other rehab places, they offer a 60-day relapse guarantee—if you relapse after completing their 60-day program, you get another 60 days for free. Now that’s some serious confidence in their program.

Now, for the not-so-great part—some reviews mention the place feeling a bit like adult daycare or summer camp. While relaxation is important, you might want a program with a bit more structure.

They offer two main programs: First Step is a two-week residential program to help women stop drinking and build a foundation for recovery. Next Step is a three-phase program that provides ongoing support and education for women.

Also, the 12-step principles and spiritual growth are core to their approach.  They even offer year-round workshops and solution-focused classes for women with alcoholism.

As for loved ones impacted by addiction, they offer family support programs.

Keep in mind that The Magdalen House caters exclusively to women. So, if you’re looking for a program for a man struggling with addiction, you’ll need to explore other options.

Life’s Second Chance Treatment Center specializes in opioid addiction and offers outpatient programs tailored to each person’s needs.

They offer individualized treatment, not a one-size-fits-all approach, which can be crucial for long-term success. They even have special programs for pregnant women battling opioid addiction.

As for their medication-assisted treatment (MAT) options, they have methadone maintenance that helps prevent withdrawal symptoms and cravings. Suboxone is also offered—it has a similar effect during medically supervised detox. 

Another cool feature is their partnership with Smith-Thomas Labs for confidential drug testing. This can be helpful for monitoring progress and maintaining accountability.

Plus, they accept a variety of insurance plans, including Medicaid and Medicare (unlike other rehabs), making treatment more accessible.

Keep in mind, however, that Life’s Second Chance focuses solely on opioid addiction.  So, if you’re struggling with another primary drug, you’ll need to look elsewhere.
