The 4 Best Cat Cafes in Dallas That Every Feline Lover Needs to Visit

You know, I never thought I’d be the type to spend my weekend sipping lattes while being judged by a room full of cats, but here we are.

The first time I went to a cat café, I walked in feeling confident—like, “I’ve got this; I’m a cat whisperer.” Five minutes later, some tabby gave me the side-eye so hard I felt like I owed it an apology for existing.

Turns out, the real café experience isn’t just about hanging with cats—it’s about earning their approval. Spoiler alert: I’m still waiting for mine.

But hey, if you’re ready to charm some feline overlords (or at least try), Dallas has some purr-fect spots for you.

Let me take you through the top cat cafes here, where every visit is a mix of caffeine, cozy vibes, and the unspoken challenge of winning over the most aloof creatures in town. Let’s go!

1. Whiskers and Soda

At Whiskers & Soda, you’ll usually find about 15 adult cats and 10 kittens hanging out, all from this amazing foster-based rescue group called A Voice For All Paws. It’s basically a cat lover’s dream come true!

You can grab a toy (they’re provided, no need to pack your own!) and have some playtime with these adorable furballs. If you’ve got little ones under 6, make sure to keep an eye on them.

Now, for us humans, they’ve got this fabulous coffee bar with specialty drinks, juices, and sodas.

Trust me, you’ve got to try the raspberry cream soda, and all their baked goodies come straight from Leila Bakery in Lakewood. We’re talking sandwiches, salads, cookies, cakes—the works.

They’re open every day except Monday, and you’ll need to make a reservation. Walk-ins are welcome too, though, and it’s $16 an hour for adults and $8 for kids. If you stay more than two hours, the price gets even better.

2. The Cozy Catfe

Must-order menu item: Lemonade

The kitties here at The Cozy Catfé aren’t just adorable fluffballs—they’re rescues from partner shelters in Arlington, Fort Worth, Irving, and Grand Prairie. It’s like a little feline United Nations!

You can plop yourself down on the floor, and if you’re lucky, a lap cat might claim you as their human for the hour. Or, you can go on a little treasure hunt among the trees and cozy hiding spots to find the shy ones.

What really makes this place stand out are the events. They’ve got things like yoga with cats, bingo nights, and even painting parties like Cats & Costumes.

Yes, most events are family-friendly, but there are some adult-only murder mystery nights. If you’re bringing kids under 14, make sure an adult tags along (one grown-up per three kids—fair enough, right?).

Now, they don’t do full meals, but they have drinks like soda and coffee, plus some prepackaged snacks in a separate area, so you don’t have to fend off curious kitties while munching.

3. The Casual Cat Cafe

  • 1 hour: $12.99

Must-order menu item: Keurig Coffee

Price range: $ – cheap

The Casual Cat Café has been around since 2017, and in that time, they’ve helped hundreds of cats find forever homes. Isn’t that amazing?

When you’re here, you can grab a tiny $1 container of treats to feed the cats—just a few treats per container, but enough to make you very popular with the furballs.

If you need a little pick-me-up for yourself, they’ve got the basics like coffee, cocoa, and boxed juices, plus prepackaged snacks.

But here’s the cool part: you can bring your own food or drinks with you. They even let you order delivery from places like DoorDash straight to the café. How convenient is that?

During the holidays, they have this wonderful tradition with their Christmas Cat Angel tree. You can pick an ornament and donate supplies or toys for local shelters.

All of it goes through Casual Cat Charities, so you’re really helping other cats in need. It’s such a heartwarming thing to do, especially if you’re in the holiday spirit.

4. The Charming Cat Corner

  • Monthly subscription:
  • $45 per person
  • $70 for family (up to 4 people)

Must-order menu item: Cat-puccino

Price range: $ – cheap

The Charming Cat Café in Lewisville has been around since 2015, so it’s kind of the OG cat lounge in North Texas.

No need to stress about booking ahead; they’re pretty relaxed with walk-ins. Just keep in mind, they have some rules about how many kiddos can hang out at a time, which helps keep things chill for the cats (and the adults).

For $9.75, you get a cozy half-hour with the furry stars of the show, or $12.75 if you want to hang out for a full hour.

And if you fall head over heels for the whiskered crew, you can even grab a monthly membership. It’s $45 if it’s just you, or $70 for a family of up to four.

Perfect for those who need their regular dose of cat therapy!
