The 6 Best Tea Rooms in Dallas That Made Us Feel Like Royalty

I used to think “high tea” just meant drinking Lipton on a ladder—I’m not kidding. That was until a friend dragged me to an actual tea room in Dallas, where I “accidentally” asked for a refill of the clotted cream.

The server blinked twice, smiled politely, and brought me more. That’s when I knew I’d found my people.

Look, I’m not new to the tea game. I’ve been sipping my way across Dallas one Earl Grey at a time, and if there’s a floral tea cup within my limits, I’ve probably already posted a photo of it.

Whether you’re craving crustless cucumber sandwiches, buttery scones, or just want to feel like Queen Elizabeth without the royal duties, I’ve rounded up the absolute best tea rooms in Dallas that’ll have you sitting up straight and pinky-out.

Let’s spill the tea—literally and figuratively!

1. La Parisienne French Bistro

Location: 6740 Winning Dr Suite 1000, Frisco
Website: http://www.parisienneusa.com
Phone number: +1 469 200 5411
Hours of operation:

  • Monday to Thursday: 11 am – 9 pm
  • Friday: 11 am – 10 pm
  • Saturday: 9 am – 10 pm
  • Sunday: 9 am – 8 pm

Must-order: White Ginger Pear

La Parisienne might just be the closest you’ll get to Paris without booking a flight. Think Tiffany Blue walls, fancy chandeliers, leafy greens draped just so, and 3D art murals that are basically begging for their moment on your camera roll.

Sure, they do breakfast, lunch, dinner, and brunch—but I have to say, I’m obsessed with their high tea! It’s giving très chic. If you’re planning something like a baby shower, bridal brunch, or a girls’ day out, this place is perfect.

And don’t think it’s all about daytime sparkle—La Parisienne stays open late enough to sneak in a post-dinner coffee or a shared dessert that “wasn’t on the plan” (but totally was).

However, what really impresses me is the versatility of the space. There’s indoor and outdoor seating, and they can accommodate events with up to 140 people seated or 220 for a more casual setup, such as a mingling event.

If you go, definitely give the White Ginger Pear a try. It’s got a smooth, mild white tea base with just the right hint of ginger and pear, so you get a little sweetness and a subtle kick without it being overpowering.

I usually grab it when I just want something light and easy to sip on, especially since it’s low on caffeine.

Pro Tip:

There’s a business casual dress code, so maybe skip the flip-flops and tank tops. And while the space is lovely, it’s not set up for the littlest guests—there are no high chairs available.

2. Heirloom Haul

Location: 6765 Winning Dr Ste 830, Frisco
Website: http://heirloomhaul.com/
Phone number: +1 972 292 9510
Hours of operation: Monday to Sunday: 10 am – 5 pm
Must-order: Berry Hibiscus Iced Tea

If you’re going to ask me about Heirloom Haul, I’d say the atmosphere here was what hooked me first. Because truly, it’s like someone raided a stylish grandma’s attic and made it Pinterest-worthy.

Whether you’re sitting inside the main dining room, out on their breezy semi-covered patio, or in the cozy little garden lounge, the whole place feels effortlessly pretty!

What really stood out about their tea service is how they turn it into a full-on experience. While adults enjoy the classic setup, kids get to play dress-up with gloves and pearls—it’s ridiculously cute and makes the whole thing feel special for everyone.

Plus, they’ve got a private space that fits up to 32 people, which would be ideal for a bridal shower, baby sprinkle, or even a bougie birthday tea party.

As for what to order, their Berry Hibiscus Iced Tea is a crowd favorite. It’s got this deep color that catches your eye right away, and the flavor is just as bold.

Tart hibiscus with a hint of berry sweetness—super refreshing, especially on a warm day. I usually get this as part of their tea service, which comes with finger sandwiches, deviled eggs, and macarons. So good!

Pro Tip:

They’re cashless, so bring your card. It’s a small thing, but worth knowing before you go.

3. Lavendou Bistro Provincial

  • Tuesday to Saturday: 11:30 am – 2 pm; 5 pm – 9:30 pm

Must-order: Orange Spice China Black

For a little escape to the French countryside without hopping on a plane, you’ve got to check out Lavendou Bistro Provincial in North Dallas!

I wandered in one afternoon, and it felt like I’d stumbled into a homey village cafe in Provence. The decor is warm and charming—soft blues and yellows everywhere, and those Pierre Deux fabrics? Total mood-setters.

But here’s the real gem: their Orange Spice China Black. I’m not usually a tea person, yet this drink completely won me over.

A cozy blend of China black tea layered with orange and lemon peel, plus the right touch of cinnamon, cardamom, and cloves. It feels like autumn in a cup, even if you’re drinking it in the middle of July!

Pro Tip:

French High Tea here is pretty popular, and they keep it intentionally intimate, so you’ll need to call them at least 24 hours in advance to make a reservation. Yep, no online bookings—you’ll have to give them a ring.

4. Bangkok at Beltline

  • Saturday and Sunday: 12 pm – 9:30 pm

Must-order: Thai Iced Tea

Tucked into a humble strip mall in Richardson, Bangkok at Beltline may look unassuming at first glance, but don’t be fooled.

This cozy, family-run Thai restaurant has a little surprise up its sleeve that’ll make your weekend feel delightfully unexpected.

What really sets this place apart is their Thai Iced Tea.

This drink somehow became quite a favorite among regulars—it has a perfect mix of strong black tea, sweetened condensed milk, and a small amount of sugar. Super creamy and refreshing, especially on a hot Dallas afternoon!

Pro Tip:

Make a reservation ahead of time. They only do the Afternoon Tea on Saturdays from 1 pm to 3 pm, and it fills up fast.

5. Chocolate Secrets

Phone number: +1 214 252 9801
Hours of operation:

  • Monday to Saturday: 10 – 11 pm
  • Sunday: 12 pm – 7 pm

Must-order: Chai Tea Latte

Yes, the $75 price tag might give your wallet a moment of pause, but believe me, this is far more than just a polite pot of Earl Grey.

When I visited, the table was covered with dainty tea sandwiches, deviled eggs, buttery scones, delicate macarons, and the stars of the show: their hand-crafted truffles and bonbons.

One of their top tea picks is the Chai Tea Latte. A perfectly spiced black tea with steamed milk, loaded with cinnamon, cardamom, cloves, and ginger.

But what really caught me off guard, though, is how they blend their tea service with their signature artisanal chocolates—and their wine list is surprisingly good, too!

I wasn’t expecting to enjoy a glass of red with my tea and sweets, but it worked!

And if you time it right, you’ll love the evening vibe—there’s often a jazz set or a soulful performance playing in the background.

Pro Tip:

Reservations are recommended if you’re planning on coming for an Afternoon Tea. It’s not a walk-in kind of place, especially on the weekends.

6. Society Bakery & Tea Room

Phone number: +1 214 827 1018
Hours of operation:

  • Monday: Closed
  • Tuesday to Sunday: 11 am – 3 pm

Must-order: Earl Grey Black Tea

Society Bakery & Tea Room in Lakewood has been delighting Dallas with cupcakes and charm since 2003, but they recently leveled up big time.

In December 2023, they settled into a much bigger space in the neighborhood and added the most adorable tea room you can imagine—very English, very pretty, very Instagram-worthy.

I finally got a chance to try out their Earl Grey Black Tea. They actually do it two ways: one’s infused with lavender, which I love because it pairs perfectly with their savory sandwiches. The other’s got this smooth vanilla twist that goes amazingly well with their desserts.

Pro Tip:

If you’re thinking of hosting something a little fancy, they rent out private rooms—or you can go all in and book the entire place, day or night.
