Epic Waters Indoor Waterpark in Grand Prairie is just a quick drive from Dallas, so no long road trip required—maybe 20 minutes if traffic’s kind.
It’s open all year, rain or shine, which is a huge win during those blazing Texas summers (or on those random chilly days).
With over 25 slides and pools—I’m talking a wave pool, lazy river, splash pads for the little ones—there’s fun at every corner, whether you’re an adrenaline junkie or just want to float around and relax.

Holmes Aquatic Center in University Park has a 50-meter pool, ideal for lap swimming and competitive events. But if you’re just looking for some laid-back fun, there’s a water slide that kids (and, let’s be honest, adults too) can’t get enough of.
For those feeling adventurous, the diving boards are a highlight—there’s a 1-meter and even a 3-meter one if you’re feeling brave. They’ve also got this great splash pad for the little ones, so they can stay entertained while you relax.
3. Club Royal Pool

This place has been a staple in North Dallas since 1963, all thanks to some forward-thinking local families who wanted to create a little oasis for everyone.
Club Royal Pool is pretty impressive—a 75-foot-long beauty with a whopping 100,000 gallons of water! You’ve got room to really stretch out and swim, or just float around on a sunny day.
There’s also a shallow area just for the little ones—toddlers and babies can splash around safely while the parents relax nearby.
The picnic pavilion is where things really come together. People are always out there grilling, especially on the weekends, with the smell of barbecue in the air and families hanging out together.
4. Rosemeade Rainforest Aquatic Complex

If you’re headed to Carrollton, you’ve got to check out the Rosemeade Rainforest Aquatic Complex. Their Rainforest section is perfect for families, especially with little ones, since it has a zero-depth entry pool that’s super easy to wade into.
Trust me, they will love the water slides and the lazy river. But the real highlight? The massive 600-gallon dump bucket. It’s like this giant tidal wave that comes down out of nowhere—always good for a surprise soak!
Then, there’s the Main Pool section, which is where things get serious if you’re more into traditional swimming. The 50-meter Olympic-size pool is impressive, and if you’ve got a daredevil streak, there’s a diving well and two towering 22-foot water slides.
Don’t worry about packing lunch too. They have a concession stand with all the usual poolside favorites, plus plenty of picnic areas and lounge chairs to relax between dips.
5. Farmers Branch Aquatics Center

Farmers Branch Aquatics Center offers both indoor and outdoor options, so it doesn’t matter if you’re just trying to get in a good swim or keep your children entertained.
The indoor section is the Margaret Young Natatorium, which has a 25-yard lap pool for all you serious swimmers out there, plus a nice therapy pool if you’re just looking to relax or do some water therapy.
What I love about it is that it’s open all year round, so even when the weather isn’t cooperating, you’ve still got a place to swim or take lessons.
Now, when the sun’s blazing and you want to be outside, that’s where the Frog Pond Water Park comes in! It’s super fun during the summer!
