Pros
- Its commercial opportunities accept anyone regardless of age and size
- Understands how to make both its models and clients satisfied
- Very good at educating and training models for any event
- Treats all models with kindness and respect
Cons
- Fashion opportunities require experience in foreign languages and sales
If you’re looking for a great start to your modeling career, we think Alice Laura Models’ premium approach to modeling will do just the trick.
With international recognition under its belt, Alice Laura is one of the few modeling agencies in Dallas that effortlessly sets the status quo.
It firmly believes in the portrayal of “elegant eloquence” in everything that its models stand for.
For the agency, it’s not just about being superficially beautiful. It’s here to eliminate the stereotype that models are empty shells.
We love how it firmly supports every single model into becoming special individuals that possess both beauty and brains.
We think one doesn’t simply enter agencies such as this and expect to not change for the better at all. Whether it’s continuing education or learning other languages, we think Alice Laura is the type of agency to open up your mind to the world.
We notice though that this could be a double-edged sword for some people.
Since its fashion opportunities require experience in both foreign languages and sales, it could be a steep hill to climb for some people with no experience.
Other than that, we do think it’s a modeling agency that definitely challenges you to go out of your comfort zone. Its commercial opportunities also gladly accept anyone regardless of age and size.
So if you’re the type of person that has a natural curiosity for everything, then being a model represented by Alice Laura can definitely work in your favor.
After all, its team is very good at educating and training models for all sorts of events. We’re glad to hear that they also treat everyone like family.
Regardless if it’s working with a model or a client that needs models, kindness and respect are things that are given naturally by the team.

Pros
- Internationally-renowned agency that discovered some of today’s celebrities
- Culturally diverse in both its women’s and men’s mainboards
- Provides opportunities for the classic, curve, and big and tall divisions
- Very supportive in providing continuous opportunities throughout the years
Cons
- Has not been consistent with its requirements on several occasions
- Customer service was rude and unaccommodating in the past
- Doesn’t have a petite division
Kim Dawson Agency is a high-performing modeling agency that has a reputation for propelling its models to heights they’ve probably never imagined.
We think it’s definitely a career starter. One that consistently develops its models into confident individuals in the spotlight.
If you haven’t heard of the agency before, then it’s the one that’s responsible for discovering the likes of Selena Gomez, Demi Lovato, and Chace Crawford way back then.
Considering how great their careers have launched, we can say that Kim Dawson is no joke when it comes to opportunities.
It doesn’t just simply kickstart modeling and talent careers, though. It also maintains them well throughout the years.
This is, arguably, what any aspiring model would want for the future of their career. “I want to become a model, but minor gigs will do just fine”, said no one ever.
Thankfully, there’s an abundance of opportunities to be had at Kim Dawson. Aside from its culturally diverse women and men mainboards, it also has opportunities for the classic, curve, and big and tall division.
Sadly though, it doesn’t have a petite division, for some reason. But we do hope that it eventually adds one someday for even more diversity in body types.
If we had to mention one hurdle that aspirants have had to go through on several occasions, it would be the agency’s inconsistency with its requirements.
It sometimes gets pretty confusing and even downright dishonest when it keeps changing its requirements without notice.
To add to that, its customer service team wasn’t really that good in the past. Thankfully, they seem to be a lot more polite and accommodating nowadays.

Pros
- First ever boutique modeling agency in Dallas to be established
- Very enthusiastic and encouraging management
- Many models eventually get international opportunities through it
- Very detail-oriented across all of its modeling categories
Cons
- Has been very slow to give payments for models in the past
- Lacked communication and transparency in past open calls
Wallflower Management is one of those locally-based modeling agencies that still does a spectacular job of maximizing a model’s potential despite its smaller local exposure.
Since it is the very first boutique modeling agency in Dallas to be established, it earns rights to probably a lot of the successful local models back then.
What’s quite impressive about Wallflower, however, is that it doesn’t just stay local. A lot of its models go on to become full-fledged international models for even bigger agencies.
This is where its solid modeling foundation comes into play, as it’s one of the best places in Dallas that really nourish every aspiring model.
We think of it as an agency that starts you strong and makes sure that you also finish strong wherever your modeling career may take you.
We also think that this is one of the reasons why international agencies themselves reach out to it for scouting.
It’s also very detail-oriented across all of its modeling categories, so you’ll have a strong foundation no matter which division you join.
So in Wallflower’s case, it’s basically a two-way street. It’s no wonder that it can offer so many potential opportunities to build you up.
It’s certainly one of the perks of being at Wallflower. What’s also another perk is that you’ll have very enthusiastic and encouraging management by your side at all times.
However, there were some instances in the past that they were quite questionable in being very slow to give models their hard-earned money.
Its open calls in the past have also proven to be very time-wasting, as it has failed to communicate changes in schedules and locations transparently.
With that said, make sure that you document everything if you ever start working with the agency.

Pros
- Has over 2 decades of experience in developing and representing models
- Provides great representations for both adults and youth
- Also represents locations for magazines
- Has no height requirements for its prints
Cons
- Sometimes takes a while to respond to inquiries and follow-ups
- Management sometimes lacks transparency
When picking a modeling agency to start your career in, we think it’s a no-brainer to trust highly experienced ones like The Clutts Agency.
With over 25 years of experience in the modeling industry, it has strong expertise in bringing out the best in any prospective model.
Even if the competition can be undeniably tough (as with most agencies), it’s a highly-rewarding agency to be in for a lot of people, nonetheless.
You’ll find that its modeling opportunities are quite flexible. Both adults and youth will be exposed to a variety of different modeling setups.
Although its website talks mostly about print and talent opportunities, you’ll be surprised just how many connections The Clutts has.
This renders it a very competitive agency that attracts both aspiring models and various clients. And we all know what happens when models and clients are put in the same equation — even more opportunities that’ll make everybody happy.
So with that said, it’s basically a melting pot where anyone can have the chance to show what they’re made of, regardless of their age or ethnicity. To add the cherry on top, it looks like it has no height requirements for all of its prints.
Another cool feature about this agency is that it also accepts applications for locations. As weird as we may make it sound, even your own house can now be a model in magazines thanks to The Clutts Agency’s representation.
You may still experience a few bumps in the road when you first try to reach out to the agency. One of those bumps is its very slow response time to inquiries and even follow-ups.
Also, we’ve heard that the management tends to not be that transparent towards the models and just makes decisions on a whim. This can cause a lot of confusion and, in some cases, even distrust within the agency.
5. The Campbell Agency
Modeling Overview: Women/Men, Mainboard, Curve, Classic, Runway, Talent/Voiceover, Commercial Print, Artists, Youth Talent/Print, Influencers.

Modeling Opportunities | 4.5/5 |
Cultural Diversity | 5/5 |
Application Processing | 4.5/5 |
Pros
- Has tons of commercial and fashion opportunities across all divisions
- Good cultural and age diversity in both men’s and women’s divisions
- Also includes great opportunities for influencers
- Supports models over the years exceptionally well
Cons
- Sometimes lacks follow-through for models’ career progression
- Has been rude towards prospective models and clients in the past
Modeling agencies such as The Campbell Agency really shine in their proactive approach to developing the best models to be paired with the best clients.
As founder of the agency, Nancy Campbell herself has a solid background as a talent and even in production.
With this combined expertise of being in front and behind the camera, Nancy has set a high standard that brought the agency to where it is today.
With tons of commercial and fashion opportunities, many people have been able to branch out their modeling careers over the years.
It definitely feels like a second home to some, given that it’s a rather closely-knit community that naturally bonds people together through time.
We also like the cultural and age diversity that Campbell has, further proving the point that there are a lot of careers to be made in the agency.
This doesn’t mean that it’ll sacrifice the quality of modeling over leniency.
Of course, you need to prove that you’re determined enough to be the cream of the crop, and the agency will give you the tools and guidance along the way.
It has been exceptional in supporting models over the years, after all. It gives them the right push to achieve things they’ve never imagined.
This is true even for its influencer division, which is quite a unique one, in our opinion.
But given the influx of clients and models that it needs to constantly manage, The Campbell Agency is far from being the most efficient.
Sometimes, some models can experience a plateau in their careers that the agency just can’t attend to quickly enough.
There were even some instances that its agents were rude towards prospective models and clients in the past.
