However, it’s important to note that swimming in Lewisville Lake is not permitted in most areas. The lake prioritizes safety and water quality, restricting swimming to designated beaches that are carefully monitored. 

If you’re in search of a livelier atmosphere and a chance to socialize, Party Cove on the lake might be more your scene. 

With its 29,000 acres of water to explore, Lewisville Lake offers something for everyone, ensuring a memorable and enjoyable experience in the heart of North Texas.

Joe Pool Lake 

Joe Pool Lake, named in honor of Congressman Joe Pool, who played a pivotal role in securing funding for the lake’s development, is a sprawling 7,740-acre lake offering a wealth of outdoor activities.

However, when it comes to taking a dip in Joe Pool Lake, there’s an important detail to keep in mind. While the lake itself is a top recreation destination, swimming is generally prohibited in most areas, except for specifically designated swimming beaches.
