The 7 Best Dallas Breweries Worth the Hype [And the Hangover!]
Have you ever woken up after a night out and felt like your liver just submitted its two weeks’ notice? Yeah, that was me—after a “casual” brewery hop that turned into a citywide mission to find the best pint in town.
I told my friends we’d just hit one place. Two hours later, we were rating IPAs like we were on a beer-themed reality show, and by the fourth spot, I was trying to convince a bartender that “tasting flights” should count as cardio.
But here’s the thing: I regret nothing. Because when you live in this city, you’re basically surrounded by liquid gold.
The brewery scene here is full of character—some with rooftop views, others tucked into old warehouses, and all with ales that’ll have you coming back even if your head’s still ringing from the last visit.
So, if you’re ready to dive in, I rounded up Dallas breweries that are totally worth the hype… and maybe, just maybe, worth the hangover too!
1. Oak Cliff Brewing Co
Media credit: oakcliffbrewing
Address: 1300 S Polk St #222
Website: http://togo.oakcliffbrewing.com/
Phone: 214 663 8090
Business hours:
- Monday to Thursday: 3 pm – 10 pm
- Friday to Sunday: 11 am – 10 pm
Must-order: Lee Hazy Oswald
I love the atmosphere at Oak Cliff Brewing Co.—it feels like a backyard hangout, just with better drinks.
The taproom has a cool recycled-wood aura, offering a clear view of the brewing process as you sip.
I usually grab a board game with friends and settle into one of the picnic tables, especially when the weather’s nice and we can sit outside under that big pecan tree in the beer garden.
The brew lineup here is anything but boring. I always come back for the Lee Hazy Oswald—an IPA that leans a little fruity, with notes of melon and stone fruit.
They also host events pretty regularly—local art displays, weekend markets, and more—so there’s usually something fun going on.
Pro Tip:
The brewery is right next to the Tyler/Vernon Red Line DART station—a quick and easy ride from downtown Dallas, with no need to hunt for parking.
2. Jaquval Gastropub & Brewery
Address: 312 W Seventh St
Website: http://www.jaquval.com/
Phone: +1 972 896 1108
Business hours:
- Monday and Tuesday: 11 am – 11 pm
- Wednesday: 11 am – 12 am
- Thursday to Saturday: 11 am – 2 am
- Sunday: 10 am – 11 pm
Must-order: La Jefa Lager
For a laid-back pint and ridiculously good pub food, I always end up at Jaquval Gastropub & Brewery. Their La Jefa Lager is hands down one of the most crushable beers I’ve had in Dallas, especially on a hot day!
Pair it with their crispy fish and chips or the sausages with warm German potato salad, and you’re in heaven!
I’ve been coming here a lot more lately, and I feel like their beer game just keeps getting better. They usually have a dozen options on tap, including a dependable lineup—lager, IPA, porter, coffee stout—plus a few new ones that rotate in.
I like starting with a sampler to see what’s fresh before choosing my glass (or going big with a liter if I’m in the mood).
Their space is like an old-school Central European cafe—lots of wood, soft lighting, and a homey aura that makes it easy to linger.
Pro Tip:
Parking can be a circus, especially on weekends. Try to get there early or leave yourself some extra time.
3. Manhattan Project Beer Co.

Address: 2215 Sulphur St
Website: http://manhattanproject.beer/
Phone: +1 469 678 8870
Business hours:
- Sunday to Thursday: 7 am – 10 pm
- Friday: 7 am – 12 am
- Saturday: 8 am – 12 am
Must-order: Half-Life Hazy IPA
Sure, there are a bunch of breweries in our city, but the Manhattan Project Beer Co. in West Dallas easily makes my shortlist!
The place is huge, with over 10,000 square feet of sleek indoor space and nearly 4,000 square feet outside that feels like a beer-lover’s playground—Adirondack chairs, patio turf, and tons of parking (a blessing in this part of town!).
As for the design, it’s straight-up sharp. Think black-and-white tones, marble-topped bars, and leafy plants softening the industrial vibe.
You can see the brewing tanks through big glass windows, which adds a nice touch of “yep, this is where the magic happens.” And yes, every seat has a backrest so that you won’t be shifting around after a few drinks.
They also serve coffee, wine, and my favorite, the Half-Life Hazy IPA. It’s citrusy, a little fruity, and has enough pine to keep me interested.
Pro Tip:
Skip Tuesday nights if you want to avoid long lines and score a good seat—it’s usually when new beers come out!
4. Four Corners Brewing Company

Address: 1311 S Ervay St
Website: http://www.fcbrewing.com/
Phone: 214 748 2739
Business hours:
- Monday: Closed
- Tuesday and Wednesday: 3 pm – 10 pm
- Thursday: 3 pm – 11 pm
- Friday and Saturday: 11 am – 11 pm
- Sunday: 11 am – 8 pm
Must-order: Local Buzz
Four Corners is one of my go-to breweries when I want a chill afternoon that feels like a mini staycation.
The taproom sits inside an old carriage house from 1916, but they’ve turned it into something really inviting, with brick walls, wood details, and a bright, open layout. You can hang out indoors or head to the big outdoor patio, which is ideal for groups.
The space is full of color and local artwork, and I love the picnic-style tables—it gives off backyard party vibes!
They often host fun events like trivia and music bingo. If you like games, you’ll find cornhole, ping-pong, Connect Four, and even a mini pickleball court.
Their beer list is huge too—they’ve made over 300 kinds! But if you’re new, start with Local Buzz. It’s a golden ale made with honey and rye—smooth and easy to sip.
Pro Tip:
You can book a private tour. They’ll walk you through the brewing area behind the taproom, including the small-batch section.
You’ll see how it all works—and yes, you get to taste a few along the way!
5. Westlake Brewing Company
Media credit: westlakebeer
Address: 2816 Commerce St
Website: http://www.westlakebeer.com/
Phone: +1 877 994 2337
Business hours:
- Monday to Saturday: 11 am – 9 pm
- Sunday: 12 pm – 8 pm
Must-order: Rainout Hazy IPA
Westlake Brewing Company always has a rotating list of beers on tap, and there’s usually something for every taste—like hazy IPAs, stouts, Belgian-style beers, and even farmhouse ales.
If I can’t make up my mind, I usually order a flight (they’re under 10 bucks). But if I had to choose just one, the Rainout Hazy IPA is my pick. It’s light and smooth. You can also buy a 4-pack to take home!
Food-wise, they serve things that are great with beer—giant soft pretzels, flatbreads, brats, nachos, and some light bites like crudités. The portions are generous enough to split with friends.
Inside, the taproom feels open and relaxed—exposed brick, high ceilings, and large windows that let you peek into the brewing area. Outside, there’s a big patio with picnic tables, lawn games, and a tall silo that gives it a cool, industrial vibe.
It doesn’t stop there—they also host different activities during the week like yoga, social runs, and trivia nights.
Pro Tip:
Stop by on a Wednesday for free trivia and drinks!
6. Texas Ale Project
Media credit: TexasAleProject
Address: 1001 N Riverfront Blvd
Website: http://texasaleproject.com/
Phone: +1 214 965 0606
Business hours:
- Monday and Tuesday: Closed
- Wednesday to Friday: 3 pm – 9 pm
- Saturday: 12 pm – 9 pm
- Sunday: 1 pm – 8 pm
Must-order: Pantera Golden Ale
Texas Ale Project is actually the first brewery built from scratch in the city since the 1800s. Pretty cool, right?
They’ve got a big beer garden with views of the Dallas skyline, and it’s super chill—you can even bring your dog!
One of the beers that stood out to me was the Pantera Golden Ale. It’s light, a little citrusy, and refreshing.
I was a bit unsure trying their 100 Million Angels Singing (yes, that’s really the name!), but it turned out to be a bold double IPA with a smooth finish.
If you’re not into pint, no worries—they also make something called TAPWTR. It’s their own hard seltzer. Tastes mild and fizzy, like flavored water with a kick.
Pro Tip:
Don’t miss the brewery tour on Saturday. It usually happens at 2 PM and 3 PM, but spots fill quickly, so come early to sign up!
7. Peticolas Brewing Company Taproom
Media credit: peticolas
Address: 1301 Pace St
Website: http://www.peticolasbrewing.com/
Phone: +1 214 234 7600
Business hours:
- Monday: Closed
- Tuesday to Friday: 12 pm – 10 pm
- Saturday: 11 am – 10 pm
- Sunday: 12 pm – 6 pm
Must-order: Golden Opportunity
Peticolas has three levels of taproom and plenty of space to hang out. It’s inside an old warehouse, so you’ll see a mix of concrete, wood, and metal. When the weather’s nice, they open the doors for fresh air, which makes it even better!
The first floor has a fridge with chilled cans to go, a few tables, and a little shop with merch.
The main action’s on the second part—that’s where the bar is, with 18 beers on tap straight from the brewery. They rotate the selection often, so you might catch something rare like a fruity beer or one on nitro.
If you keep heading up, there’s a game loft at the top. You’ll find ping-pong, foosball, shuffleboard, and even a ring toss. There’s also a big TV for soccer fans and a cool view of where the pint’s made.
As for what to order, I’d recommend you try Golden Opportunity. It’s crisp Kölsch that’s super perfect, especially on warmer days. Refreshing indeed!
Pro Tip:
It’s absolutely okay to bring kids to Peticolas—there are snacks, sodas, and plenty of open space for little ones while adults enjoy sampling.
