5 Best Attic Insulation Pros in Dallas to Beat the Heat

  • Attic assessments: I favored crews that inspect existing insulation and airflow before making a recommendation. Guesswork won’t cool my house.
  • Material options: Fiberglass, greener alternatives, and other choices help me find the right fit for your attic and budget.
  • Air sealing: New insulation won’t do its best work if air still escapes around pipes and fixtures.
  • Whole-attic solutions: I looked for companies that consider radiant heat and moisture, too. A cooler attic takes more than a quick top-up.

I’ve just had professional roofing work done, and I was ready to stop worrying about what’s overhead. Then Dallas summer rolled around, and my attic still felt like it was auditioning to be an oven!

Now I’m looking for the best attic insulation in Dallas before my AC gives up on me. Good insulation could help keep the house cooler and take some pressure off my energy bills.

I’ve rounded up local companies that can tackle the heat lurking above the ceiling. Here’s where I’d start before the next triple-digit day.

How much does attic insulation cost in Dallas?

Attic insulation in Dallas typically costs $1,500 to $8,000, depending on size and material.

A small attic of about 500 square feet may cost $500 to $2,000. A medium attic of 1,000 to 1,200 square feet may cost $1,000 to $4,800.

For a 1,500-square-foot attic, expect $1,500 to $6,000. A very large attic of around 2,000 square feet may cost $2,000 to $8,000 or more.

1. Attic Insulation DFW

Contact: 972-209-1966

Hours: Monday-Saturday, 7 AM – 6 PM

My newly finished roof looks great, but Dallas heat has me wondering what’s happening underneath it. Attic Insulation DFW appeals to me because owner Jimothy Whisnant works alongside his sons and crew on both residential and commercial projects.

They install blown fiberglass and spray foam, and they can remove old insulation before putting fresh material in place.

I like that they look beyond the fluffy stuff, with air-sealed LED can light replacements and radiant barriers that can help reduce summer heat gain.

If the project turns out bigger than my budget hoped, their advertised 0% financing options are worth asking about. I’d check the eligibility and terms before counting on that rate.

The crew is closed on Sundays, though, which could make scheduling tricky if that’s your only free day. Also, cellulose insulation isn’t listed among their options, so I’d ask about it before booking if it’s your preferred material.

Pros

  • Family-run crew handles residential and commercial projects
  • Offers blown fiberglass, spray foam, and old insulation removal
  • Can replace leaky can lights and install radiant barriers
  • Advertises 0% financing options, subject to eligibility

Cons

  • Closed on Sundays
  • Cellulose insulation isn’t listed among material options

Noticeably Cooler Home After Attic Insulation

Had my attic done; there was no insulation whatsoever in that house. It was always hot in the kitchen area and some of the rooms. The guys did a great job. They even did a video of before and after. There very professional. Thanks, Jimothy Whisnant !! I’m a very happy customer. Maya from the Richardson, Texas area.

Informative Service With Added HVAC Efficiency Advice

Jimothy was amazing! He was very informative and made sure everything was done right. He also found things that needed to be fixed to help improve the effectiveness of our air conditioning. If you need to add insulation to your attic, I highly recommend his services!

The roofers have barely packed up, and I’m already eyeing the next suspect in my summer cooling bill: the attic. Koala Insulation of Dallas caught my attention because Charlie Sikes runs the local team with the support of a national network.

They offer a free insulation assessment, so I’d get a clearer idea of what needs fixing before choosing a material.

Options include batts, spray foam, and blown-in insulation, giving homeowners several ways to tackle the heat.

If old insulation is damaged or contaminated, the team can remove it and sanitize the area before replacement. They offer air sealing and solar attic fans too (though I’d check which jobs can be scheduled together).

One thing to keep in mind is the quote window. Koala states that its quotes are valid for 30 days unless revoked earlier, so delaying the project may mean requesting an updated quote.

Pros

  • Free efficiency reports
  • Complete material cleanup
  • Solar attic fans available
  • Same-day installation

Cons

  • Quotes are valid for 30 days

Quickly Resolved an Installation Oversight

Definitely recommend working with these people. There was a miscommunication between the person who gave me an estimate to have some insulation blown into my attic and the installers. When the installers left, an area that was included in the estimate was left uninsulated. I left a message regarding the issue and was promptly contacted. They quickly scheduled another appointment that worked with my schedule and remedied the situation. No pushback. No excuses. Everyone was professional and on time. Despite the minor inconvenience, I am convinced this company wants to do right by the customer at a competitive price.

Professional Service With Clear Attic Documentation

Charlie was very professional from the initial estimate to the completion of the job.  Caleb was very helpful too, explaining everything that was done in the attic along with video and pictures.  I would highly recommend them for your insulation needs.

3. Omega Insulation Solutions

Hours: Monday-Saturday, 7 AM – 7 PM

Older homes have a talent for turning one improvement into a whole new to-do list. If attic insulation is next on yours, Omega Insulation Solutions handles upgrades in existing Dallas properties as well as new construction.

I like having a choice beyond whatever material happens to be on the truck. Omega lists fiberglass, cellulose, and spray foam, with blown-in insulation available for attics and other hard-to-reach spaces.

Its spray foam expands into gaps and cracks, which could help if drafts are part of your attic trouble.

The team serves Dallas and many surrounding communities, so homeowners across the metro area can request a quote.

The catch is scheduling, Omega is closed on Sundays. If that’s your only free day, you’ll need to arrange a visit during its Monday-to-Saturday hours.

Pros

  • Thorough airflow evaluations
  • Multiple material choices
  • Expanding spray foam
  • Broad metro coverage

Cons

  • Closed on Sundays

4. Energy Attic

A freshly finished roof won’t help much if my attic still feels like a Dallas oven. Energy Attic appeals to me because it looks at insulation alongside ventilation and HVAC concerns, rather than treating the attic as a stand-alone job.

Its three-part approach combines attic insulation, radiant barriers, and solar ventilation. The team can remove damaged insulation and seal air leaks before installing formaldehyde-free blown-in fiberglass where the project calls for it.

I like having one company to ask about the attic and the AC system that’s working overtime beneath it.

That broader service range could help me figure out which improvements my house actually needs.

The office is closed on weekends, though, so I’d have to arrange an appointment during the workweek. Cellulose installation isn’t offered as a material, either.

Pros

  • Handles attic insulation, radiant barriers, solar ventilation, and HVAC work
  • Offers damaged insulation removal and attic air sealing
  • Installs formaldehyde-free blown-in fiberglass

Cons

  • Closed on Saturdays and Sundays
  • Cellulose installation is unavailable

Honest Guidance From Estimate to Follow-Up

In the span of two weeks, we had an estimate and the work completed to insulate our attic.  Mike was great at explaining the process and was honest about options.  The team that completed the job was very courteous and professional. Mike also followed up afterwards to check temps and ensure all was good. Highly recommend.

Improved Upstairs Comfort With Insulation and Airflow Fixes

The guys at Energy Attic are awesome! They came out and did a great job insulating our attic/eaves. We still had a lot of temperature difference upstairs, though, due to inefficient HVAC intake and air circulation. Guy and Seth came out and sealed off our intake area for the HVAC, making the airflow so much more efficient. Our upstairs feels much cooler now. They were fast, friendly, and very affordable. Also, they explained the problem and their solution clearly, so I knew what (and why) they were doing each step. Highly recommend!

5. Attic Construction

Hours: Daily, 8 AM – 7 PM

A new roof deserves a cooler house to go with it, but my attic may have other plans. Attic Construction caught my eye because its free inspection checks insulation, moisture, and signs of rodents before the crew recommends a fix.

The crew can remove old, damaged insulation with industrial vacuums before installing new material.

They offer attic air sealing too, which I’d want checked before paying to put fresh insulation over any gaps.

I like that one team can handle cleaning, rodent proofing, and insulation if the inspection turns up more than a thin patch of fiberglass. That could save me from coordinating several crews for one attic.

One limitation is that the crew does not handle suspected asbestos abatement. If it encounters material such as vermiculite that may contain asbestos, Attic Construction says it will pause the project and recommend specialist testing or abatement instead.

Pros

  • Free detailed inspections
  • Lifetime installation warranty
  • Pre-installation air sealing
  • Industrial vacuum cleanup

Cons

  • Does not handle suspected asbestos abatement
