The 9 Best Amusement Parks in Dallas That Kept Us Screaming [in a Good Way!] All Day

If you’ve never heard a grown man scream like a tea kettle while dangling upside down on a roller coaster, then you clearly weren’t standing next to me at the State Fair.

I lost my voice, my dignity, and—at one point—my shoe. Somewhere in Dallas, there’s still a flip-flop orbiting a Ferris wheel.

Now, I’ve lived in our city long enough to know a thing or two about where to get your adrenaline fix—and I’m not talking about trying to merge onto I-635 during rush hour (though, that could be its own thrill ride).

I’m talking legit theme parks, the kind that leave you hoarse, sunburned, and oddly craving funnel cake at 9 am.

So, if you’re looking for places that’ll have you screaming, laughing, and maybe questioning your life choices (in a good way!), here are the best amusement parks in town that absolutely delivered.

1. Celebration Station

Media credit: celebrationstationtx

Address: 4040 Towne Crossing Blvd, Mesquite

Website: https://www.celebrationstation.com/mesquite-location/home

Phone: +1 972 279 7888

Business hours:

  • Sunday to Wednesday: 11 am – 10 pm
  • Thursday: 11 am – 9 pm
  • Friday and Saturday: 11 am – 11 pm

Celebration Station is a favorite of mine when I want a mix of entertainment and eats without having to plan a thing. There’s a restaurant and an indoor park full of activities, so you can go from grabbing a bite to racing go-karts in minutes.

The food here leans classic and kid-approved: think pizza, burgers, wings, and a few crowd pleasers for the picky eaters. It’s quick, casual, and ideal for fueling up between rounds of mini golf or laser tag.

I’ve lost entire afternoons getting way too competitive in the arcade, dodging sprays on the bumper boats, or pretending I know what I’m doing in the batting cages.

The 18-hole mini golf course is a nice change of pace when you want something a little more low-key, and honestly, it’s surprisingly scenic for a family fun center.

Pro Tip:
If you’re planning to bounce from one attraction to the next, the unlimited play pass is a smart move. It’s $39.99 and only available on weekends—after 4 pm on Fridays and all day Saturday and Sunday.

2. NRH2O Family Water Park

Media credit: nrh2o

Address: 9001 Blvd 26, North Richland Hills

Website: http://www.nrh2o.com/

Phone: +1 817 427 6500

Business hours:

  • Monday to Thursday: 11 am – 6 pm
  • Friday to Sunday: 11 am – 7 pm

There are several water parks around DFW, but NRH20 has probably the best pool I’ve ever experienced. It was actually the first municipal water park in Texas, and has been a classic since 1995.

I finally made the trip out (30 minutes from Dallas), and I honestly wish I’d gone sooner.

Spread across 17 acres, this spot is packed with all the good stuff: a massive 12,000-square-foot wave pool, a chill 660-ft lazy river, and more than 20 slides that’ll have you rethinking your fear of heights (in a good way).

The high-speed ones? Intense! But somehow still addictive.

What I didn’t expect was the bonus fun. I went on a weekend and lucked out with one of their live music events—they also do movie nights, so there’s always something extra going on beyond the rides.

Pro Tip:
Grab your tickets online before heading over. You save a few bucks, and more importantly, you get to skip the longer lines at the gate.

3. Altitude Trampoline Park Cedar Hill

Address: 112 W Belt Line Rd #2, Cedar Hill

Website: http://altitudecedarhill.com/

Phone: +1 469 272 5867

Business hours:

  • Monday to Thursday: 10 am – 8 pm
  • Friday to Saturday: 10 am – 9 pm
  • Sunday: 11 am – 9 pm

When I’m looking to burn off some energy (or just bounce around like a kid again), I head over to Altitude Trampoline Park in Cedar Hill. It’s only about 20 minutes from downtown Dallas and perfect for showing off flips or trying not to fall over in dodgeball.

Most of the time, I start on the main trampolines just to get warmed up, and then I’ll move to the foam pit to attempt something slightly heroic. Sometimes, I hit up one of their fitness classes too—they feel like play until your legs are jelly.

If I’m there on a Friday night, I like to stick around for Teen Night. The place brings in DJs, dims the lights, and suddenly it’s a dance party where you’re bouncing instead of just dancing.

Pro Tip:
Don’t forget your grip socks. If you do, no worries—they’ve got extras at the counter.

4. Sky Zone Trampoline Park

Media credit: skyzone

Address: 3823 Irving Mall, Irving

Website: https://www.skyzone.com/irving

Phone: +1 469 499 3100

Business hours:

  • Monday to Thursday: 12 pm – 8 pm
  • Friday: 12 pm – 10 pm
  • Saturday: 11 am – 10 pm
  • Sunday: 12 pm – 7 pm

This place is such an underrated indoor gem, just 20 minutes from downtown Dallas. Sky Zone Trampoline Park isn’t only for kids—believe me, once you’re bouncing around, you’ll forget all about your adult responsibilities!

If you’re up for some friendly chaos, the Ultimate Dodgeball court delivers—think classic dodgeball with extra airtime to unleash your inner ninja.

And for anyone dreaming of a slam dunk moment, the basketball lanes let you soar like you’re in the NBA—all with the grace of a flying squirrel.

Pro Tip:
Aim for weekday mornings if you can—less crowd, more jump space, and zero lines for your dodgeball rematch.

5. State Fair Of Texas

Media credit: statefairoftx

Address: Parry Ave & Exposition Ave

Website: https://bigtex.com/

Business hours:

  • Sunday to Thursday: 10 am – 9 pm
  • Friday and Saturday: 10 am – 10 pm

This fair is Texas-sized fun, plain and simple. Held each year at Fair Park, the State Fair of Texas is a 24-day excuse to eat deep-fried things, scream your lungs out on rides, and wave back at Big Tex like he’s your old buddy.

It’s a 55-foot-tall cowboy who greets you with a slow drawl and a giant wave. He’s been around for decades and might as well be the unofficial mayor of the season.

The midway is where the energy reaches its peak. You’ve got 70+ rides, including Texas Star—a 212-foot Ferris wheel that gives you the best bird’s eye view of all the madness—and the towering Top o’ Texas Tower that rockets you 500 feet up for a real yeehaw moment.

There’s also live music, pig races, and a bunch of competitions that’ll have you cheering for goats like they’re pro athletes.

Now, as for food, the wild new inventions get the headlines yearly, but the classics are the real MVPs: arm-sized corn dogs, pillow-like funnel cakes, and turkey legs that could pass for small clubs.

Pro Tip:
If you’re planning more than one visit, grab the Season Pass. For $50, it gets you multiple entries and perks like discounted parking.

6. Bahama Beach Waterpark

Media credit: bahamabeachwaterpark

Address: 1895 Campfire Cir

Website: https://www.bahamabeachdallas.com/

Phone: +1 214 671 0820

Business hours:

  • Monday: Closed
  • Tuesday to Saturday: 10:30 am – 6 pm
  • Sunday: 12 pm – 6 pm

Another solid pick for cooling off in the summer is the Bahama Beach Waterpark. This place brings full-on Caribbean vibes and is one of my favorite ways to beat the heat without driving hours out of the city.

When I’m melting under that Texas sun, I make a beeline for the 45-foot slides. They’re fast, intense, and surprisingly fun, whether you’re 12 or 42!

But if you’re not in the mood for adrenaline, the lazy river or the splash playground—with its giant water dumps—is just as satisfying.

Bahama Beach is no high-end resort—and that’s exactly why I like it. It’s a laid-back, local-family-outing kind of energy.

Pro Tip:
They let you bring in your own snacks and drinks—total game changer! Freeze a couple of juice boxes the night before—you’ll thank yourself later.

7. Hydrous Wake Park

Media credit: hydrouswakeparks

Address: 280 E Eldorado Pkwy, Little Elm

Website: http://www.hydrouswakeparks.com/

Phone: +1 214 310 1105

Business hours: Monday to Sunday: 12 pm – 8 pm

This place brings back some of my favorite summer memories, especially when the heat demanded something more exciting than a backyard hose.

Hydrous Wake Park became my go-to for full-body thrills—no boat required. What I love most is that you don’t need to know someone with a lakehouse or a fancy speedboat—just grab your board, and the cable system takes care of the rest.

It zips you across the water like you’re starring in your own action movie. Once you get the hang of it, it’s even cooler than it sounds!

When I first started, I signed up for one of their afternoon camps to figure things out. Now, I’ll swing by just to mess around or join friends during their private lessons.

The park’s always clean, organized, and surprisingly beginner-friendly. Still, if you’re a seasoned rider, the setup can challenge you with enough features to push your limits.

If I’m looking to chill or bring the younger cousins along, the inflatable aqua park is a blast. Picture a giant bouncy obstacle course on water—pure chaos, but in the best way possible!

Pro Tip:
Get there early. Weekends fill up fast, and the earlier you arrive, the more time you’ll get flying across the water without waiting in line.

8. Hawaiian Waters Garland

Media credit: hawaiianwaterstx

Address: 4550 N Garland Ave, Garland

Website: http://www.hawaiianwaters.com/

Phone: +1 972 905 6916

Business hours: Monday to Sunday: 10:30 am – 6 pm

I wasn’t sure what to expect the first time I headed out to Hawaiian Falls Garland—just figured it’d be another cookie-cutter waterpark.

But the moment I got launched down one of those Torpedo twin slides, I was hooked!

I’ve since made it kind of a summer thing. The lazy river’s where I recover after being brave on the launch capsules. And that thousand-gallon dump bucket? Let’s just say you will scream, whether you’re 6 or 60!

Pro Tip:
Weekdays are a sweet hack, by the way. You get more splash time and less standing-in-line time.

9. Urban Air Trampoline and Adventure Park

Media credit: urbanairdallas

Address: 14902 Preston Rd

Website: https://www.urbanair.com/texas-north-dallas/

Phone: +1 469 232 1214

Business hours:

  • Sunday to Thursday: 10 am – 8 pm
  • Friday: 10 am – 9 pm
  • Saturday: 10 am – 10 pm

I feel like Urban Air Trampoline and Adventure Park is where kids go to burn off a week’s worth of sugar—and adults pretend they’re “just supervising” while secretly eyeing the dodgeball court.

This place isn’t just wall-to-wall trampolines; it’s got ropes courses, a warrior-style obstacle zone, climbing walls, and even a trapeze if you’re feeling brave or mildly overconfident.

The layout’s a bit like an energy drink came to life. Bright colors, nonstop movement, and a noise level that somehow energizes you instead of draining you.

The Tubes Playground is a hit with the little ones, and the older kids love testing their skills on the APEX trampolines or racing across the warrior course like it’s a game show.

Pro Tip:
Bring your own grip socks. They’ll make you buy a pair if you forget, and no, you can’t just go barefoot and hope they don’t notice.
