He was previously recognized by D Magazine as one of the best doctors in Dallas, a testament to his expertise.

He offers various spine treatments, including non-surgical procedures, minimally invasive surgeries, fusion surgeries, and motion-preserving surgeries.

Patients we interviewed appreciated that he provides outpatient treatment of lumbar and cervical herniated discs, which significantly reduces their expenses.

The only drawback we noticed is that Dr. Michael is a solo practitioner, meaning the clinic can’t accommodate multiple patients at once.

The center comprises fellowship-trained spine specialists with nearly 100 years of combined experience. They provide a broad range of spine treatments, from non-surgical therapies and injections to surgeries. 

What really caught our attention was their fluoroscopy-guided injections, which allow them to visualize internal structures and ensure medications are delivered precisely to the root cause of pain.

Aside from their services, we also like that they accept same- or next-day visits—perfect if you need urgent care.

Some patients, however, have reported that the staff sometimes ends calls prematurely.

Patients we spoke to commended the team for the free MRI review, allowing them to obtain a professional opinion without upfront costs. Another thing patients love—particularly those who can’t travel—is the clinic’s telemedicine services.

Our only concern involves reports of poor post-surgery care.

Our jaws dropped when we discovered that they had been honored as D Magazine’s Best Spine Surgeons for nine consecutive years, reflecting their unmatched skill.

For services, they offer a variety of spine treatments, including minimally invasive therapies, laser spine surgery, and epidural steroid injections. 

Several patients appreciate that the clinic has both cervical and lumbar disc replacement—a motion-preserving alternative to fusion that not all practices provide.

Still, no center is perfect. We’ve heard that the staff occasionally doesn’t answer calls.

Momentum Spine & Joint houses eight spine specialists—a comparatively large number for most competitors—giving their patients flexibility when scheduling appointments. 

What’s even better is that the team includes several double-board-certified surgeons who’ve completed intensive subspecialty training specifically in spinal health.

Their offerings include spinal pain management therapies such as radiofrequency thermal ablations, epidural steroid injections, discograms, and vertebroplasty. These procedures target the root cause of pain rather than simply masking symptoms.

That said, we think they may not be the ideal clinic for you if you need to undergo surgery, because they don’t offer spinal procedures.

But if you want an advanced diagnosis, that’s where they excel. Patients particularly love that the clinic conducts electrodiagnostic testing before treatment, enabling the team to precisely evaluate spinal conditions.
